I could never go back. I have seen and learned too much to ever be influenced by any of them. Once you see how it is all lies and manipulation, it doesn't work on you anymore.

Sleep Habits
by snowbird inthis thread is inspired by a beloved poster who said he managed to sleep all through yesternight.. how about you, do you sleep through the night?.
each morning, around 2 am, it's as if a hand shakes me awake.. i became accustomed to arising at that time to take care of my semi-invalid mother.. she passed nearly 12 years ago, but my body?

I very rarely have trouble sleeping. At home I get into bed and am out in a few minutes.
I travel a lot for work too and usually sleep well at hotels too. On my last trip the rest of my traveling companions were awakened every night by a train, I didn't hear anything.
i do sleep with a fan on at home and in hotels put the fan on continuous run.

Adults can help apply pressure and further indoctrinate children. This allows the child to feel pressure and guilt from more than just their family, further isolating them. It also takes away the chance that another youth could influence their peers in bad conduct. Not a good thing.......

So, the Womens March ... What Is It For?

i keep hearing demands for equal rights but don't understand what rights they are missing exactly.. normally a march is to show the support (and potential votes) for a cause, but ... votes for what?
... and the election happened already.. is anyone else confused?

I think it was attempting to be funny, it wasn't very funny, but I am not offended. How many women tell man jokes? A lot so it goes both ways.
What I don't understand is why women keep making themselves different from men, and then expect equal treatment. What kind of passive aggressive bullshit is it to not go to work for a day to make sure your male coworkers get screwed over by having to fill in, and then want to be treated equally. I am a woman and it makes no sense to me.

by TerryWalstrom in“oh mommy!” the little girl in the floral dress cooed to her mother.. i felt the same.. that splash of vivid brightness on such a perfect creature takes your breath away!the delicate robin whose crimson colored breast chased ugliness from sight delighted little children on starbucks patio.. better still, her nest in a nearby tree stirs a keen anticipation for summer’s hatchling sounds of chirpy appetites and a renewal of hope for our futures, the little things and we ourselves.. i barely spy her nest, exquisitely fashioned, basket-like; roundish and stout.
she flits charmingly now...and again keeping custodial observance of her eggs.

Yes my parents and I have a great don't ask don't tell relationship. They don't ask me and I don't tell them about holidays etc. they do not bring up anything JW related except the occasional comment about someone I used to know. Those were the contact rules I laid down many years ago. If you want contact with me no JW stuff allowed, otherwise I prefer no contact. They have done pretty well at sticking to the agreed upon arrangement.

Confused trying to understand JW GF or soon to be EX
